The New South Wales Blues will head north to Townville this July after the northern Queensland city was named as host for the upcoming 2022 Wheelchair Rugby League State of Origin Fixture.

The eagerly awaited match-up will see the Queensland Maroons look to record back-to-back victories after their successful 50-30 victory from the 2021 Origin clash. The 2021 clash was held in Sydney this January after being postponed due to COVID.

The representative level game will be held on Saturday 23 July at Townsville’s Murry Sports Complex, with a 4:15 pm kick-off.
