The 2022 New South Wales Junior Representative Grand Final day will take place this Saturday, April 30, at Commbank Stadium in Western Sydney.

The Grand Finals will be decided for the Harvey Norman Tarsha Gale Cup (women’s Under 19s), the UNE Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s) and the UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) following an exciting season of action which kicked off in February.

“The Junior Representatives Grand Final day is one of the most exciting events on the NSWRL calendar as the players competing for premiership glory are still at the beginning of their Rugby League journeys,” NSWRL Head of Football Robert Lowrie said.

“The depth of talent it produces is reflected in the fact that current St George Illawarra Dragons NRL players Tyrell Sloan and Junior Amone, and Canberra Raiders tearaway Xavier Savage, faced off in the SG Ball Cup decider last year.

“It is only fitting that these three NSWRL competitions get to play their deciders in the newest of Sydney’s sporting venues, CommBank Stadium and I invite all fans to come down and enjoy the next wave of Rugby League talent coming through the system.”

The day will kick off at 11am when Minor Premiers Indigenous Academy Sydney Roosters take on the Newcastle Knights (3) in the Harvey Norman Tarsha Gale Cup. The Roosters booked their place with a convincing 22-8 win over Wests Tigers while the Knights had to dig deep for their 16-14 over Parramatta Eels.

Minor Premiers Western Suburbs Magpies will take on Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (4) in the UNE Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s) at 12.45pm. The Magpies held on for a 16-14 win over Canberra Raiders while the Sharks continued their winning ways with a hard-fought 14-12 win over the Sydney Roosters.

The day will conclude when Minor Premiers Sydney Roosters take on Penrith Panthers (4) in the UNE SG Ball Cup (Under 19s) at 2.30pm. The Roosters continued their undefeated season when they beat Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs 32-12 while the Panthers were also too strong in their 25-6 win over Newcastle Knights.
