The Western Warriors and South Adelaide Bulldogs have both kicked off their 2022 NRLSAW campaigns with wins.
Played at Eyre Sports Park in Penfield, the opening round of the competition saw the Warriors face off against the Bulldogs to open the competition, before the Bulldogs would then back up and take on the Parra Districts Eels.
In the opening game, the Warriors edged the Bulldogs 28 – 26, with only a conversion separating the two sides, whilst in the second match, the Bulldogs ran out 20 – 0 winners over the Eels.
Despite being in a losing team, Brenda Nini from the Eels was named the NRLSAW Senior Player of the Round.
