The draw for the 2022 Cook Islands ‘League in Paradise’ Nines, which kicks off this Friday, has been released, with nine teams set to take part across the Men’s, Women’s and Under 18’s competitions.
With COVID-19 impacting the tournament, the Cook Islands Rugby League reduced the length of the tournament from three days to just two.
In the Men’s tournament, reigning champions, the Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers will be joined by the Avatiu Eels, Arorangi Bears and Ngatangiia Matavera Sea Eagles. In the Women’s, the Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers, Titikaveka Bulldogs and Ngatangiia Matavera Sea Eagles will take part, whilst the Under 18s competition will feature the Tupapa Maraerenga Panthers and Ngatangiia Matavera Sea Eagles.
All matches will be played at BCI Stadium in Avarua.
