The Philippines National Rugby League are excited to announce that they will be competing in the 2022 London Nines, becoming the first Asian nation to take part in the event.

The London Nines is one of the largest annual nine-a-side competitions held across Europe. First held in 2018, the London Nines has featured teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Serbia, Lietuva and the United States, with the 2022 set to be one of the largest on record, with sides from Ireland and Malta set to make their debut at the competition with the Philippines.

The Philippines representative team will be coordinated by the Pambansang Ragbi Liga Ng Pilipinas United Kingdom committee, and will look to partner with a London based club as the side builds for the tournament scheduled in July.

The Philippines has previously been represented at the Sydney Nines competition held in Cabramatta.
