The Vietnam Water Buffalos have gone down to the Macedonia Lions 58 – 0 in Sunday’s Rugby League match at Leichhardt Oval in Sydney.
The match between the two heritage representative teams marked another significant step forward in the establishment of Rugby League in both the Asian and European nations.
Rugby League Vietnam was established in late 2018 and had originally planned to play it’s inaugural representative fixture against Thailand in 2020 prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
