The Yakipita based St Cowboys have successfully retained the Hondina Cup after the side defeated the Rumina Raiders 6 – 2 in Saturday’s Grand Final.
In a bone crushing encounter at the Aiya League field in Usa, the Cowboys scored the only try to make it back-to-back wins.
Meanwhile in the B-Grade Grand Final, the Rame Sharks defeated the Raiders 4 – 0.
The Aiya Rugby League was established in 2020 to provide the Aiya LLG in PNG’s Southern Highlands its own regional competition.
