Urutau are one step closer to successfully defending their Brasilian Men’s title after the side recorded a thrilling win over local rivals, the Maringa Hawks, in Saturday’s Grupo Sul Semi Final.
Taking place at Parque São José dos Pinhais, the Screaming Owls were too strong for the Hawks, running out 34 – 14 winners to secure their spot in the National Final.
The Owls will now face either the São Paulo Raiders or Taubaté in the National Final.
Urutau won the inaugural Brasilian National Premiership, defeating the Maringá Hawks 30 – 4.
