The Port Moresby Vipers have bounced back from draw last week to the FH Laumas to record a convincing 40 – 10 win over the Rigo Raiders in the opening day of Round Seven of the 2021 Southern Super League.
Taking place at Moresby South Stadium on Thursday, the Vipers ran riot in the second half to record a convincing 30 point win and ensure they kept top spot on the competition ladder.
In other matches played over the round, the Moresby South Blacks and Port Moresby Suburban Ducks ensured they stayed within hunting distance of the Vipers, with the South Blacks running out 30 – 6 winners over the Central Dabaris, whilst the Ducks defeated the MK Lagatois 36 – 14.
The FH Laumas moved int fourth spot on the ladder following a 30 – 16 win over the Eda Bulldogs, whilst the Gulf Isou collected their fourth consecutive win.
In the only other match, the Koiara Nagavas drew with the Buria Reds 28 – all.
