The West Coast Chargers will be looking to cause an upset this Sunday in 2021 Sky Sport New Zealand Men’s National Premiership when they head to Nga Puna Wai in Christchurch to face the Canterbury Bulls.
After a strong win over the Southland Rams last weekend in Greymouth, the Chargers will be looking to back up their Round One performance and ambush the Bulls in their first competitive game of the season.
The Bulls, who are usually the sole representative team from the South Island in the New Zealand Men’s Premiership, have been grouped with West Coast, Southland and Otago as part of a restructured competition for 2021, with the winner from the Zone being only two wins away from the National title.
In other matches scheduled for the weekend, the Southland Rams will look to bounce back from their 30 – 20 loss against the Chargers when they host the Otago Whalers in Invercargill, whilst the Central Zone will kick off with the Wellington Orcas facing the Waikato Mana in Huntley.
Both the Bulls v Chargers and Orcas v Mana matches will be televised on Sky Sports 4 and Kayo Sports this weekend.
