Prop forward, Vasa Laavasa, has put on a man of the match performance to help the St George Dragons to victory over the Wainuiomata Lions in today’s Wellington Premier 2 Grand Final.
The final match of the Second Grade competition was a tightly contested affair, with the Dragons securing a 32 – 26 win despite trailing at multiple points in the match.
Laavasa’s performance for the Dragons earned him the John Whittaker trophy.
