The 2021 Port Vila Men’s, Women’s and Under 15s Championship are all set to kick off this Saturday, with all three competitions enjoying year on year growth.
In the Men’s competition, the USP Ruggers will join the likes of the Uluveou Sea Lions, Mele Eels, Vanuatu Police Forces, Blacksand Diamonds, Ifira Blackbirds and last year’s Premiers, the Vate Bulldogs, whilst the Women’s competition has been boosted by the Police Forces and Diamonds joining the Eels and Blackbirds.
The Under 15s competition welcomes the Pacific Storm, a new club created of young players of different cultural backgrounds who live in Port Vila, who joins the Blackbirds, Eels and Diamonds.
In a further boost to the competition, all matches of the opening round will take place at Erakor Village field, thanks to a new partnership between Mr. Josiah Russel President of Erakor Golden Star FC and the Port Vila Rugby League.
