The Philippines National Rugby League has continued its efforts to spread the Rugby League message, resuming clinics this week with the children from Sta. Maria elementary school in Zamboanga city for the first time since Typhoon Kamuri.

The clinics, which are held every weekday after class, and on weekends for the more serious participants, have been introducing the skills of Rugby League to the children, whilst also reuniting them with different cultures as well as religions from within the community.

Coordinated by Al-yadhi Papeo Harun from North Luzon Head Hunters, with support from Mark Atterton and South Western Primary Public Schools, the initiative is one of the many being run by the Philippines National Rugby League to create a Rugby League culture in the country.
