The Japanese Samurais will have the opportunity to defend their East Asia Cup title this June after it was announced that the Hong Kong Thunder will be traveling to Tokyo.
Following a tight clash in 2017, where the Samurais held off a fast finishing Thunder to win 24-22 in Kowloon, the Samurais will have the opportunity to host their first home international since 2016.
Set to take place on June 16, the match will also serve as an important warm-up match for both nations heading into the Emerging Nations World Championship in Sydney.
