The Hong Kong Rugby League has this week announced that the Hong Kong Residents XIII side will be touring the Philippines in 2017.

The representative team will take on a Philippines National select on March 18 in Manila.

The match will be the first time representative sides from the two regions have gone head to head in a Rugby League International.

The Hong Kong Residents XIII is a representative team made up of the best Rugby League players living in Hong Kong.

The side was created in 2015, taking on the Manila Storm club in their first ever game before playing a Thailand XIII in 2016.
